Mirror Backing

I have shelving units that can be secured to the wall. Note that the units are open with no backing. I will like to install a mirror on the wall as backing for the shelves. Is this possible to do? To install a shelving unit on top of a mirror. If possible please lead me to resources or how I can do this.

This is a bad plan. You're better off installing a proper back on your shelves and then installing multiple mirrors within the shelves themselves. Either way this is not an easy project. You could install the mirror on the wall and just leave your shelf free-standing. You won't want to try to drill through a mirror and attach a shelf...
