i have a 5 1/2 wide clapboard..how much is 1 sq.? thanx

1 sq. ft. is 1 sq.ft., regardless of the material you use.

Probably 1 inch overlap so your 5.5 becomes 4.5=.375 ft sq/ lineal ft. So 100 sq ft./ 266 lineal. So 266 lineal ft. I'm assuming clapboard is the same as what i call lap siding. Probably should figure some waste on the bottom line, 10%. ]
